Capsule 5 is inspired by Art Deco and Art Nouveau, two artistic movements that have shaped our capital, Brussels.
Arabesques, butterflies and plants that are typical of both trends come together in the prints for a highly colourful and extremely graphic effect. Retro-kitsch motifs contrast with vivid and modern colours, not to mention the slight touch of gold that can be found in each of the items in the collection.
For the first time, unisex clothing is also accompanied by a homeware range. Household linen, crockery, armchairs, cushions, wallpaper: a host of new products to complete this fifth collection, produced exclusively in Europe.
In collaboration with Le Bon Marché's artistic direction teams, we developed the "Mosaert Fabrique", a behind-the-scenes experience in the form of a fantasy factory that bears witness to our love for craft creation.
A factory where, through their surrealist mechanisms, the different showcases and installations illustrate our aesthetic approach and also, in the background, our vision of creation.
A circuit with floor signposting, control screens, pipes, rails, sales staff in white overalls; everything suggests that visitors are in the middle of a busy factory. All this in a fun, colourful and lush setting that brings to mind the motifs and colour range of capsule 5. The exhibition is open from 7 April to 13 May, 2018 at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche (Paris).
