For Capsule 7, Mosaert, our creative house, hits the road, partnering with MINI for a ground-breaking collaboration featuring the very first 100% electric MINI. This project is not a mere tartan takeover; it’s a complete collaboration where we explore the dynamic relationship between fashion and automotive design combining design, communication, creative direction, photography, and video.

Captivated by the brand’s storied heritage and the elegance of its models, we embarked on the customization of a MINI like no other. It was vital that this partnership not only reflects our shared values but also showcases our commitment to sustainability. Naturally, we chose to market a limited-edition MINI Electric. The result isn’t just a car; it’s a statement of how two worlds can come together with style, substance, and sustainability.

Pour la Capsule 7, notre collectif créatif prend la route en s’associant à MINI pour une collaboration révolutionnaire mettant en vedette la toute première MINI 100 % électrique. Ce projet ne se limite pas à une simple réinterprétation du tartan, c’est une collaboration complète où nous explorons la relation dynamique entre la mode et le design automobile, combinant design, communication, direction artistique, photographie et vidéo.

Séduits par l’histoire de MINI et le caractère iconique de ses modèles, nous avons entrepris de personnaliser une MINI unique en son genre. Il était essentiel que ce partenariat reflète non seulement nos valeurs communes, mais aussi notre engagement envers la durabilité. Naturellement, nous avons choisi de commercialiser une édition limitée de la MINI Electric. Le résultat n’est pas qu’une voiture, c’est une déclaration de style, de substance et de durabilité.

The MINI Electric Mosaert Edition, limited to just 400 units across Europe, was designed to reflect both the elegance of MINI’s heritage and the future-facing vision of Mosaert. Inspired by MINI’s iconic British Racing Green, this limited edition features a distinctive tartan roof—a tribute to the brand’s rich English origins—with a contemporary twist.

La MINI Electric Mosaert Edition, limitée à seulement 400 véhicules à travers l’Europe, a été conçue pour refléter à la fois l’élégance de l’héritage de MINI et la philosophie de Mosaert. Inspirée par le célèbre British Racing Green de MINI, cette édition limitée arbore un toit tartan distinctif — un hommage aux riches origines anglaises de la marque — avec une touche contemporaine.

But the collaboration didn’t end with the car. We extended this concept into a ready-to-wear capsule collection, Capsule 7, crafted from 100% recycled and /or organic materials, mirroring the car’s eco-conscious message. As a nod to the MINI Electric Mosaert Edition, it features a full tartan set, as well as a print inspired by Toile de Jouy, our cloud design, and soft colours.

Mais la collaboration ne s’est pas limitée à la voiture. Nous avons étendu ce concept à une collection de prêt-à-porter, la Capsule 7, fabriquée à partir de matériaux 100 % recyclés et/ou biologiques, reflétant le message éco-responsable de la voiture. En hommage à la MINI Electric Mosaert Edition, elle présente un ensemble complet en tartan, ainsi qu’un imprimé inspiré de la Toile de Jouy, notre design nuage et des couleurs douces.

To complete the experience, we launched a poetic campaign centered around the theme of levitation, inviting viewers into a dreamlike world where gravity seems to vanish. It’s an ode to lightness—both in terms of the car’s eco-friendly carbon footprint and the ethereal beauty of the clothing.

En écho à cette vision, nous avons lancé une campagne poétique centrée sur le thème de la lévitation, invitant les spectateurs dans un monde onirique où la gravité semble disparaître. C’est une ode à la légèreté — tant en termes d’empreinte carbone écologique de la voiture que de la beauté intemporelle des vêtements.

Our biggest challenge was making the car levitate during the shoot. We wanted it to truly float, just like the models, to minimize the need for post-production. We overcame this challenge thanks to an exceptional technical team, whose ingenuity and expertise made this illusion possible.Notre plus grand défi a été de faire léviter la voiture lors du tournage et de la séance photo. Nous voulions qu’elle flotte réellement, tout comme les mannequins, afin de minimiser le recours à la post-production. Nous avons réussi à surmonter ce défi grâce à une équipe technique exceptionnelle, dont l’ingéniosité et le savoir-faire ont rendu cette illusion possible.

Since 2009, Mosaert has been composing and orchestrating its own creative symphony—one that transcends disciplines and reinvents the unexpected. Founded by Paul Van Haver, better known as Stromae, alongside his brother and Executive & Creative Director Luc Van Haver, Mosaert was born out of a desire for artistic independence. From day one, the collective has overseen every facet of Stromae’s creative universe—from music production to visuals, stage design to costumes—ensuring a singular, uncompromising vision.

In 2012, the arrival of Coralie Barbier marked a turning point. Initially joining as a stylist for Stromae’s second album, Racine carrée, Coralie’s role quickly expanded into artistic direction. With this evolution, Mosaert flourished into a multidisciplinary creative house, seamlessly blending music, fashion, and audiovisual storytelling. Fashion became a natural extension of our ethos in 2014 with the launch of our first capsule collection—unisex, consciously produced in Europe, and defying industry-imposed rhythms. Year after year, we continue to refine our approach, integrating recycled and organic materials, crafting pieces that stand the test of time.

Beyond our own projects, we collaborate with iconic brands like MINI, Repetto, and Le Bon Marché, as well as artists who inspire us—Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Orelsan, Yael Naïm, and more.
